EarthLens AI is a comprehensive environmental intelligence platform. It uses Google Gemini 3 Flash (gemini-3-flash-preview) to analyze photos of environments, ecosystems, and urban areas (EcoVision), chat with you about climate and sustainability (EcoChat), evaluate your personal carbon impact (Carbon Compass), and summarize global environmental indicators (Earth Pulse).

EarthLens AI provides three tailored perspectives for analyzing an image:

  • 🌿 Environmental: Analyzes overall environmental health, pollution levels, and gives a general "Eco Score".
  • 🦋 Biodiversity: Focuses on identifying species richness, habitat quality, and threats to the local ecosystem.
  • ♻️ Sustainability: Evaluates carbon footprint lifecycle, materials (like plastics), and sustainable practices visible in the image.

Navigate to the EcoVision section and click the "📷 Use Camera" button. Allow the app permission to access your device's camera. By default, it will open your rear-facing camera. Point your phone at a subject (like a river, forest, or waste site) and tap the large circular snap button to capture an image. Finally, select your analysis mode (Eco Score, Biodiversity, or Carbon) and click "Analyze with Gemini"!

In the EcoVision section, you can simply click or tap anywhere inside the dashed "Upload Zone" area to select a file from your computer or phone. On desktop, you can also drag and drop an image directly into the box. We also provide a few example images (Forest, Ocean, City, Factory) that you can try with one click.

EarthLens AI operates as a secure proxy. Normal users do not need an API key to use the app — we handle the Gemini connection securely on our backend. No personal data or uploaded images are permanently stored on our servers; they are processed ephemerally for analysis.
